Welcome

Well, I've gone and done it- started a blog. Obviously. I've been thinking about it for quite a while now, so I have to say I'm excited that I've actually taken the risk. It could really be nothing, but I'm hoping it's a little something. Time will tell.

Here are a few of the reasons I've decided to become a blogger:
  • I love talking and interacting with people. Blogs are a way of doing that.
  • Reflection is a good thing, and this will motivate thoughtfulness in me. This is the "even if only my mom and dad read it, something good will come from this process" reason for starting a blog.
  • I love to teach and story-tell, especially about things I'm currently learning. I'm always humbled by the teaching process, whether the lesson is about long-division, the Bible, or just giving someone a tip on how to pick a paint color, and I love that God has wired us to learn from one another. I hope this blog is a two way street in that regard.
  • Life is really a lovely gift we've been given, even with it's deep sorrows, and I hope to encourage others to see the beauty of Jesus and the Gospel in day-to-day life.
One of my favorites things is having someone stop by my house, either to stay a while or just for a quick hello. So, thanks for stopping by. =)

  2. I can't imagine only your Dad and Mom would read your blog, Laura. You have such a beautiful heart for the Lord -- and many good, dear friends who love you. They will enjoy hearing from your heart! :)
